Habitat
Andinoacara rivulatus is a robust cichlid from rivers and coastal drainages of western Ecuador and Peru. It inhabits slow to moderate freshwater and is a territorial, opportunistic predator on invertebrates and small fish; mature males develop a prominent nuchal hump.
