Setting Up Maintenance Schedules and Reminders in Aquairi

Create recurring maintenance tasks for your aquarium so the app reminds you when a water change, test or feeding is due, and mark each one complete or skip it in a tap.

Regular maintenance is what keeps an aquarium healthy, but it is easy to lose track of when you last did a water change or test. The Aquairi app lets you set up recurring schedules for each aquarium so the app reminds you what is due and when, and so every completed task is recorded for you. This guide walks a beginner through creating and managing schedules.

Open the Schedule section

Open the aquarium you want to manage, then go to its Schedule section. There you will see the list of active recurring tasks already set up for that tank, so you can see at a glance what maintenance is planned.

Add a new schedule

To create a recurring task, add a new schedule and fill in its details.

  1. Give the schedule a Name so you recognise it in the list.
  2. Choose a Type, such as water change, water test, feeding, cleaning, or general maintenance.
  3. Select the day or days of the week on which it should recur.
  4. Optionally set a start date and add a description with any extra detail.
  5. Save the schedule to add it to the tank's active tasks.

Complete or skip a due task

When a task comes due, you can mark it Complete, which logs the action as an event in your history. Completing tasks also earns you XP, with water changes in particular rewarded. If you cannot do a task this time, you can Skip that single occurrence without removing the schedule, and the next occurrence will still come up as planned. This way a missed week does not throw off the whole recurring pattern, and your reminders simply continue on their normal days.

Manage your schedules

You can toggle a schedule active or inactive if you want to pause it temporarily, or delete it entirely when you no longer need it. Keeping your schedules tidy means your reminders always reflect your real routine.
