Getting Started with the Aquairi App

New to Aquairi? This walkthrough takes you from signing in with an email code through onboarding to your Dashboard, where all your aquariums live.

Welcome to Aquairi. Setting up for the first time takes only a few minutes, and you do not need a password, just access to your email. This guide walks you through signing in, the quick onboarding, and finding your way around the main screens.

Signing in with an email code

Aquairi uses a one-time email code instead of a password, so signing in is quick and there is nothing to remember.

  1. Open the app. After the splash screen you arrive at the login screen.
  2. Enter your email address and tap the option to receive a code.
  3. Check your email for the one-time code (OTP) that Aquairi sends you.
  4. Type that code into the code (OTP) screen in the app. Once it is accepted, you are signed in.

Onboarding

The first time you sign in, Aquairi asks a couple of quick questions to set things up. You pick your interests, the aquarium topics you care about, and then, when prompted, you can allow notifications so the app can remind you about care tasks and alerts.

Your Dashboard

After onboarding you land on the Home, or Dashboard, tab. This is your home base. It shows a card for each of your aquariums, with details such as the name, volume, health score, the latest parameter reading and the device status, and it also displays your XP and streak. When you first start out you will not have any aquariums yet, so the next step is to add one.

Finding your way around

A bottom navigation bar lets you move between the main areas of the app.

To create your first aquarium, use the '+' button to start the add-aquarium flow. Once you have an aquarium set up, the Dashboard becomes the place you check in on it day to day.
