A distinctive Anubias species with triangular to heart-shaped leaves on very long slender petioles, giving it an open airy appearance unlike most compact Anubias. Grows well both submersed and emersed and makes an attractive addition to paludariums and open-top aquariums.

Habitat

Native to swampy forests of Guinea and Sierra Leone in West Africa, where it grows along shaded watercourses and forest floors that are seasonally flooded. The species is typically found as an emersed herb rather than fully submerged.
