How to connect an IoT device in Aquairi
Aquairi works fully as a manual log book, but pairing an IoT sensor automates the part people forget: testing. Once paired, the device streams readings straight into your tank, keeping the trend charts and Health Score live.
This guide covers pairing a sensor with its device token, confirming readings arrive, and watching them flow into your charts.
Steps
Power the sensor and find its token
Place the sensor in or on the tank and power it on. Every Aquairi device has a token printed on it that starts with “aqk_” — you will need it to pair.

Open the aquarium you want to monitor and choose to add a device. Devices live under the specific tank, so the readings attach to the right system.

Type or scan the “aqk_” token to claim the sensor. Aquairi validates it and links the device to your account and the selected aquarium.
A token only pairs to one aquarium at a time. Moving a sensor to another tank? Re-pair it under that tank.

Within a few minutes the dashboard shows the device as online with a fresh last-seen time. Its readings start landing on the tank automatically.

Frequently asked questions
No. Aquairi is fully usable as a manual log book. A sensor is an optional add-on that automates readings so you log less by hand.
It identifies your specific sensor. Entering it pairs the device to your account and the chosen aquarium so only your tank receives its readings.
No. A device pairs to a single aquarium at a time. To move it, re-pair the sensor under the other tank using the same token.
Check power and connectivity. If readings stop, the dashboard marks the device offline based on its last-seen time so you know to check the hardware.
