Habitat
A dwarf, shell-dwelling population of Telmatochromis temporalis endemic to Lake Tanganyika. Lives among accumulations of empty Neothauma snail shells on sandy bottoms, into which it retreats and breeds. Substantially smaller than the rock-dwelling form of the species.
