Habitat
Endemic to Lake Malawi, ranging over intermediate and rocky zones. An elongated predatory hap that hunts smaller fishes. Recognised by a continuous horizontal stripe along the flank; the only species in the genus Taeniochromis. A maternal mouthbrooder.
