Overview

Amphiprion perideraion is a species in the family Pomacentridae. One of the most peaceful clownfish species, with a pale pink to peach body and a single thin white dorsal stripe running from nose to tail, giving it the "skunk" name. Lacks the bold coloring of other clowns but makes up for it with its gentle temperament. Associates primarily with Heteractis magnifica anemones in the wild.

Habitat

Widely distributed across the western Pacific from the Cocos-Keeling Islands east to Samoa and from southern Japan to the Great Barrier Reef. Hosts in Heteractis magnifica and H. crispa anemones. One of the least aggressive Amphiprion species; recommended for smaller reef aquariums.
