Limnophila sessiliflora is an aquatic plant in the family Plantaginaceae. A fast-growing stem plant with delicate feathery whorls of leaves that create an attractive bushy appearance. An excellent alternative to Cabomba for beginners since it tolerates a wider range of water conditions.

Habitat
Native to South and Southeast Asia (Bangladesh, Bhutan, China, India, Indonesia, Japan, Malaysia, Myanmar, Nepal, the Philippines, Singapore, Thailand and Vietnam) and tolerated up to 1,900 m. Escaped cultivation in Florida in 1961 and now invasive in the southern United States.
