Habitat
Uca crabs inhabit intertidal mudflats and mangrove margins of tropical coasts worldwide, including Southeast Asia, Africa and the Americas. Males bear one greatly enlarged claw used for display. They are semi-terrestrial and require brackish water plus dry land to thrive.
