Epiplatys sexfasciatus, the six-barred panchax, is one of the larger Epiplatys, a surface killifish of the family Nothobranchiidae. FishBase records it at up to 10.0 cm standard length, notes it is not a seasonal killifish, and considers it difficult to maintain in the aquarium.

Habitat
FishBase places the species from Ghana to Benin, Nigeria, Cameroon, Equatorial Guinea and Gabon, in the calm and weedy parts of rivers, lakes, swamps and brooks. It shows potamodromous behaviour.

Diet
