Habitat
Endemic to Inle Lake and adjacent waters of the Shan Plateau in Myanmar. Inhabits shallow, clear, slightly alkaline water among dense marginal vegetation. A small shoaling cyprinid with emerald-green vertical bars, formerly placed in the genus Microrasbora.
