Habitat
Cyphotilapia gibberosa is a large, deep-bodied cichlid (frontosa) endemic to the deeper rocky zones of Lake Tanganyika in East Africa. A slow-moving maternal mouthbrooder, it preys on smaller fish at night and develops a pronounced nuchal hump with age.
