Albino Sterbai Corydoras Care Guide
A captive-bred albino form of Corydoras sterbai, Sterba's Cory; a peaceful schooling catfish from the Rio Guapore drainage kept in groups.
Overview
This is a captive-bred albino form of Corydoras sterbai, Sterba's Cory. Seriously Fish gives the wild species a standard length of about 6.5 cm. The albino strain is commercially available and popular in the hobby; it shares the biology of the wild fish, which is noted for its orange pectoral fins.

Habitat
The parent species is native to Bolivia and Brazil, with the type specimen collected from the Rio Guapore (Seriously Fish). It lives in small tributaries, creeks, pools and flooded forest. The albino form is produced in captivity.

Diet
Omnivorous and easy to feed. Seriously Fish recommends sinking pellets or tablets as a staple, supplemented with live or frozen foods such as bloodworm, Daphnia and Artemia.
Compatibility
Very peaceful and suitable for many community tanks (Seriously Fish), best kept in a group of at least six. Soft, clean substrate protects its barbels, which can erode in dirty conditions.
Breeding
An egg-depositor. Seriously Fish considers it one of the easiest Corydoras to spawn, recommending two males per female; eggs hatch in 3-5 days.
