Overview
Corydoras julii is a species in the family Callichthyidae. A beautiful small catfish with a pattern of fine black spots on a silver body, often confused with Corydoras trilineatus. Peaceful and social, it actively scavenges the bottom substrate and should be kept in groups. An excellent community fish.

Habitat
Endemic to small tributaries of the lower Parnaíba River basin in north-eastern Brazil. Inhabits soft, slightly acidic, well-oxygenated streams over fine sand. Most specimens sold under the trade name "Julii cory" are the more widespread look-alike Corydoras trilineatus.
