Habitat
A captive-developed colour strain of Neocaridina davidi, a dwarf shrimp whose wild form occurs in streams and ponds of East Asia, including Taiwan and mainland China. The species grazes biofilm and detritus from plants, rocks and substrate in slow-moving, well-vegetated freshwater.
